Interwoven Stars Quilt, made by Hilary, featuring Moxie Quilt Pattern

Another large quilt which has been made during lockdown.  This Interwoven Stars quilt, made by Hilary, is 92" x 105" and ready with its binding  to be put on the bed.  There are just three solid fabrics used in this quilt and it made a great canvas for a bold quilt pattern.

I will admit that I do love a pink, green, cream colour combination, however, if you pop over to a previous Fabadashery post from this time last year, you will see that Sian did the same quilt in a completely different colour way.  Sian and Hilary are a mother and daughter team who provide quilting classes in the South Wales area.

The pattern which Fabadashery Longarm quilting used to quilt this was called Moxie designed by Patricia Ritter and Leisha Farnsworth, again, one of my favourites which I have used on my own quilts as well as for customers.

Coming up roses - Wendy's rose quilt

Wendy's Rose themed quilt
Wendy's Rose themed quilt
One thing I have been admiring during my lockdown walks are the lovely roses which we are enjoying in our gardens this year.  When Wendy sent through her lovely quilt made from a pre-cut, there were roses all over it, so choosing this new Rose Garden pattern was a natural choice.

This is a photo from the back with the pattern stitched out.  I still think we will have many more weeks where we will be able to enjoy our summer flowers.

Another chance to try out a new digital quilting pattern which has recently been added to my pattern catalogue, this time on a soft blue Disappearing Nine Patch mini quilt.

The patter is called 'Clover', which is like a shamrock quilting pattern.  It stitches out nicely and I can see it is going to be popular with my quilting customers.

Jelly Roll quilt made by Lynette

Like this amazing quilt made by Pauline
Jelly Roll quilt made by Lynette
Here is a lovely scrap-busting quilt made by Lynette, using just 2 1/2 inch strips - yes, a Jelly Roll size. Sometimes when a quilt arrives, I know instantly what pattern will suit it. On this occasion the quilting pattern is called Modern Curves and is great for a modern finish, especially when you don't want flowers and swirls. A great scrappy delight!
