There is always a sense of satisfaction when you take a custom quilt off the frame.  After working on it in sections, all you want to do is view it in its full glory.  This was the case for this lovely quilt made by Pauline.

The quilt was stitched in the ditch around each block and then I filled the 'white space' with feathers and other decorative fillers.

I think Pauline was hoping to add the binding and exhibit it in the Severn Valley Quilters Exhibition which is being held this weekend in Thornbury, UK.  I can't wait to see it again.

Garden Notes quilt made by Carys, quilted by Fabadashery Long Arm Quilting

Garden Notes Layer Cake quilt, made by Carys
I have recently quilted this pretty quilt for Carys.  I think it is a layer cake pattern and Carys used a really lovely fabric range called 'Garden Notes' by Kathy Schmidt.  I have been on the web to see if I can get hold of it, as I thought it was so pretty, but without much luck.

The prints on the fabric are quite delicate so when choosing a quilt pattern, we went with something which would compliment the style. We chose 'Blooms', a digital pantograph pattern by Anne Bright which had fine lines and a floral style.  The photo below shows how it stitched out on the back of the quilt.

With Spring around the corner, it is the season for quilt exhibitions, and you can see this lovely quilt in the Severn Valley Quilters Exhibition in Thornbury, UK, on 23rd & 24th February.

Kaffe Fassett Trip Around the World Quilt made by Margie

I can't tell you how pleased I was to see this quilt arrive at my door for quilting - yes, it is one of those Kaffe Fassett lovelies that bring a smile to your face when you see it.  Margie is one my postal customers and when you receive a quilt top through the post it is like Christmas Day!  It is a Trip Around the World quilt pattern, with a fussy cut Kaffe Fassett border.  The lime green border and binding finish it off perfectly.

I think many of us are drawn to Kaffe Fassett fabrics because of the vibrant colours and it is usually really hard for the quilt pattern to compete, so this simple Bam! digital pantograph does a great job of making a fabulous quilt top into a fabulous quilt.

Just in case there was a shortage of Kaffe Fassett fabric on the front, Margie bought this Kaffe Fassett extra wide print 'Circles' for the back.  I love it.  If you would like your quilt finished by Fabadashery Long Arm Quilting, but feel you are too far away, I am happy for you to post your quilt top.  Just get in contact with a photo via email and we can discuss it from there.
Happy Quilting!

Nemesh Feathers digital pantograph by Bethan Nemesh
Recently, I have been using one the new digital quilting patterns which I have added to my collection, Nemesh Feathers.  Here it is being stitched out for the first time with its lovely feathers and swirls.  I am quilting it onto a quilt made by Marlene which features lots of French General fabrics and I think this particular quilt pattern suits it perfectly.

If you are wondering what sort of pattterns I have available, you can scroll through the posts on this website or visit my Pinterest page where I keep them in a folder together.  There is something to suit everyone's taste.

Here is the completed quilt. Marlene took advantage of my binding service which means you can do the finishing touches to the quilt by hand stitching the sewn on binding.

Do you love cats?  Penny has made this lovely cat quilt out of some brightly coloured Laurel Burch  fabric.  It is a 10" square Layer Cake pattern.  If you want a cat quilt of your own, you can find the Pins and Paws Quilt Tutorial on the Missouri Star YouTube channel

Because the digital quilting patterns are computerised, it means that Penny could choose how large the size of the pattern was on her quilt.  With this Ginger Stars pattern, she wanted the stars quite close together, so I reduced the size of the pattern before I started, so that a couple of stars popped up in each block.

Penny loves her bright colours and on the back there she chose a bright orange fabric, which after quilting was dotted with pretty stars.
