This is Bonny's first large quilt.  It is made up of squares of vintage fabrics, mainly from the 1960's and 1970's, hand stitched to create this beautiful homely quilt.

With the relatively simple pattern and busy fabrics, this quilt could have taken all sorts of allover patterns, but we settled on this beautiful quilt pattern with feathers and flourishes called 'Nemesh Feathers'. I should have taken a picture of the back as well - it looked amazing!

Chelsea Football Fan Quilt, made by Penny, quilted by Fabadashery Longarm Quilting

We all reach the stage when we have made a quilt for all the women in our life and then don't want the men in our life to feel left out.  Reaching this point Penny decided to design her own quilt for her Chelsea Football Club loving fan, using the colours of their football kit.  Once made up she brought it to Fabadashery Longarm Quilting for finishing.

The next decision was which quilting pattern to use on the quilt.  Luckily we spotted this hexagon shaped pattern which reflected the pattern on a football called Argyle. I have never used this pattern before but somehow it seemed to be the perfect pattern for this particular quilt.

Penny even manged to fine some Football fabric for the backing - a RJR fabric from 2011 called 'Sporty' by Dan Morris.

This quilt design is called Prairie Flower and is made by Angela, who brought her quilt to me for quilting a few months ago.  I think Angela used a 'Grand Traverse Bay' Layer Cake by Minick and Simpson. The pattern is a great 10" Layer Cake pattern and there is a video tutorial of how to make it on the Missouri Star YouTube site.

I completed the quilting for Angela using the 'Ginger Hearts' digital quilting pattern.  One of my popular quilting patterns, especially when a quilt is gifted with love.

Margie is one of my postal customers and she keeps sending me lovely quilts to quilt for her.  I fell in love with this one instantly and have already been out and about collecting fabrics to make one of my own.  It uses fabrics from the MODA 'American Jane' range and has a lovely scrappy feel to it.

Margie had looked at my online Pinterest catalogue and had chosen 'Popcorn' for the pattern, an ideal choice and the final quilt looked absolutely gorgeous.  She also provided me with the binding, so that when it was returned to her she just had to hand finish the quilt. Seeing these photos just makes me want to get on and make mine!
