I have had some lovely quilts here at Fabadashery over recent months.  This is Gloria's 'Irish Chain Hearts' quilt which is a combination of piecing and applique.  Gloria did a wonderful job, considering it was one of the first projects she has ever done.

Here is a detail of the quilting which was a digital pattern called 'Ginger Hearts', which seemed perfect for the hearts themed quilt.  You have probably seen it before on my site and it is one of the most popular patterns chosen by my customers.

Quilts UK 2019, Malvern - Round Up

I have had a lovely day at Quilts UK, Malvern Show 2019 organised by Grosvenor Shows.  Over the past few months it feels as if I have been very busy working on quilts for this show and it was lovely to see them again, finished and with the binding on them, once they had passed through my hands for longarm quilting.

Firstly, here is Carol's 'Sunburst' quilt which received the Award for Piecing and a Judges Merit rosette.

'Dresden Plate' Charity / Fundraising Quilt by Lydney Quilters

This Charity / Fundraising quilt by Lydney Quilters won first place and a silver cup.  I stitched one of the Dresden plates and did the custom quilting. This quilt will be raffled at their exhibition 15th-16th June 2019.

'Pat's Sunburst' quilt

Pat's 'Sunburst' quilt was a result of a blind Mystery Medallion quilt challenge which I organised at WyeKnot Quilters. I had the pleasure of quilting it for her.

Finally, it was good to see my own 'Jane's Pinwheel' quilt up on display.  It is not an attention grabbing quilt, but one which I am going to be pleased to have on display in my own home.

I have had the pleasure of being part of this Dresden Quilt through making one of the blocks and doing the longarm quilting for it. With a large white border I could not resist test running a fancy feather border.

Lydney Quilters meet monthly and will be having their exhibition on 15th-16th June 2019 at the Masonic Hall, Highfield Road, Lydney, GL15 4LH, UK, where this quilt will be on display and you will be able to purchase raffle tickets for £1.00 each.  The money raised will go towards supporting Lydney Hospital and the Victoria Centre in Lydney.
