Over the past few days Severn Valley Quilters, based in Thornbury near Bristol, had their bi-annual exhibition.  I was on stewarding duty all day, but managed to get a good look at all the quilts before the doors opened to a very busy day of visitors.  On display were some of Fabadashery Longarm Quilting customers quilts including this stunning, modern quilt made by Maggie.

With such a striking design, a striking quilt pattern was in order, and Modern Curves designed by Anita Shackleford did the usual magic.

Next, was a huge quilt made by Pauline.  The fabric is linen and the beautiful texture it gave was enhanced by the quilting.

This pretty, modern quilt was one of the quilts I did for Sue which was being gifted as a Christmas present. By now I imagine that it is in full use and being enjoyed by the recipient.  This pattern is called 'Petal Power' and is designed by Kristina Brinkerhoff.  The pattern was featured in 'Love Patchwork and Quilting' Issue 71, 2019.

Irish Chain Quilt in traditional Feedsack fabrics, quilted by Fabadashery Longarm Quilting

Irish Chain quilt made by Kath,
quilted by Frances Meredith at Fabadashery Longarm Quilting
Who doesn't love a traditional Irish Chain quilt?  I have one of my own and it is one of my favourite quilts which I have made.  When this arrived at Fabadashery Longarm Quilting it just made me want to make another!  Kath has done a lovely job with this one using traditional Feedsack fabrics against a simple white background.  To ensure the quilt got finished, Kath took advantage of my quilting binding service.

For this gift, Kath chose the ever popular Ginger Hearts digital quilting pattern with a cream Glide thread which flowed nicely into her soft yellow binding.

Quilt pattern testing - 'Bubble Bath'

'Bubble Bath' digital quilt pattern
'Bubble Bath' digital quilt pattern
I slipped on a charity quilt between my customer quilts today, here at Fabadashery Longarm Quilting.  I thought this quilt would be a great opportunity to try out this new digital quilting pattern which is now in my library - 'Bubble Bath' by Naomi Hynes.  I love how it looks on this fresh quilt. The sun even stayed out enough for me to take a decent picture - yes, Spring is really on it's way.
