I thought I would kick off Day 1 of the Fabadashery Advent Quilt Show with Maria's Santa in the Trees Quilt, featuring Father Christmas himself.  It is so cute!  All the trees are from a selection of different green Christmas fabrics and the candy stripe binding finishes it off perfectly.  For the quilting Maria chose the popular Ginger Stars, designed by Apricot Moon.

On the back of the quilt you can see the quilting pattern and how Maria used the leftover scraps to add interest to the striped backing fabric.  Maria went for the Edge to Edge Quilting and Partial Finishing service which meant that her binding was added and the quilt was trimmed down, leaving her to sit in front of a Christmas film to hand stitch the remaining edge of the binding.  A great choice if you are short on time and you want to do the final stitches.
No doubt this will be pulled out this Christmas as part of Maria's decorations for this Christmas season.

Fabadashery Advent Quilt Show 2021

It has been a busy 2021 here at Fabadashery Longarm Quilting and in the forthcoming days of Advent, I will be sharing some of the customer quilts which I have been working on this year.  One of the perks of my job is that I get to see a wide range of customer quilts every day, just like my very own quilt show.  I share them so that if someone is considering getting a quilt longarm quilted they understand the look and style they could have on their own quilt and to celebrate the wonderful and inspirational quilters I get to meet.

Come back and see a new quilt revealed every day of December

For my part, I quilted this cute quilt which is a sample of one of her Log Cabin quilts.  The quilt features frogs and that was the inspiration for the wobbly spirals for the quilting. I used a digital quilting pattern called 'Malachite' designed by Patricia E Ritter, which you can see nicely on the back of the quilt in lime green thread.

November is always a busy month and before we know it it will be Christmas.  To counter the dark nights, here is another lovely quilt made by Karen, made from summery Tilda fabrics.  Karen always makes beautiful fresh quilts.  A traditional Grandmother's Flower Garden, hexagon design led us to some more traditional quilting patterns.  On this occasion the quilt pattern is called 'Grace' designed by Anne Bright.
