At the weekend I enjoyed a visit to Clifton Quilters Exhibition in Bristol, where Louise had this lovely Jelly Roll quilt on display.  It is a quilt which I longarmed for her, so it was lovely to see it finished with the binding on.

The quilting pattern she chose was 'Bird's Eye View' designed by Barbara Becker.  It gave a great finish.

The first Bonnie Hunter 2022 Chilhowie Mystery quilt has come through my doors for longarm quilting, made by Catherine.  She has made it a bit smaller and moved some of the blocks around to make her own design, but that is the prerogative of the maker.

She also chose her own colours, based on an autumn leaves themed fabric which she wanted to use on the back of the quilt.  The backing fabric also influenced the quilting pattern, Leaves by Anne Bright, featuring acorns and oak leaves, stitched out in Fil-Tec Glide Leather thread.

Mel's Boat Quilt - quilted at Fabadashery Longarm Quilting

Today I am sharing Mel's huge Boat Quilt.  Each little block is foundation pieced and if you zoom in you can see she has included lots of sky and water fabrics.

With all the detail of the different boats, the quilt did not need a busy quilting pattern to distract it, so we went with Bird's Eye View, by Barbara Becker.

Just a reminder that Clifton Quilters have their exhibition next weekend at Trinity-Henleaze United Reformed Church Hall, Waterford Road, Henleaze, Bristol, BS9 4BT.  It is on for one day only and coincides with the Westbury Park Quilters Exhibition being held on the same day at St Peter's Church Hall, the Drive, Henleaze, Bristol BS9 4LD.

You can buy one tickets for both exhibitions, ask at the door.
