As I write it is a dull July day outside, so here is Jane's stunning Tula Pink Nova Quilt to bring some sunshine back into the summer.  The central part is English Paper Pieced by hand, with lots of fussy cutting of the Tula Pink fabrics.  For the quilting we chose 'Nightlight' designed by Patricia Ritter and Marybeth O'Halloran.

August 2023 - Drop Off Dates Fabadashery Longarm Quilting

August is a great time of year to drop your quilt off to Fabadashery Longarm Quilting, with most quilts having a turnaround of less than a fortnight. Below are the dates you can drop off your quilt in August, including a Saturday.  If you are heading of to the Festival of Quilts, don't forget to pick up any backings you need to finish your quilts and then we can organise a date for you to drop off your quilt.  I can provide a wide range of wadding.

I have quilted a few of these quilts - it is a pattern called Santa in the Trees designed by Cynthia Muir of Ahhh Quilting.  These two quilts were made by Christine and Marie and their lovely Christmas themed quilts have inspired me to add this pattern to my quilt bucket list.  Christine chose a Christmas themed pattern called 'Christmas Lights' designed by Nancy Haacke.

The ideal time to be making Christmas quilts, is probably the summertime, so that they are completed in time for the Christmas holidays.  The fabric shops start to hold their Christmas fabrics from now onwards, so here is some inspiration.

It is several months since Roisin brought her Lori Holt Christmas quilt along to Fabadashery Longarm Quilting to be quilted.  It was just before Christmas and she was expecting her first baby, so there were are couple of deadlines to meet.  This quilt is inspired by Lori Holt and features the Christmas staples - Christmas bells, Candy Canes, Gingerbread Men, Stars and Christmas Stockings.The quilting pattern on the quilt is 'Ginger Stars' designed by Apricot Moon.
