Lewis and Irene Baby Quilt for Ted

Over the Christmas period my quilting friend Penny welcomed baby Ted to her family.  My other quilting friend Suz, made this adorable baby quilt out of Lewis and Irene fabric strips for the occasion and I popped it onto my APQS longarm quilting machine to finish it off with the ever popular 'Modern Curves' quilting design by Anita Shackleford.  Simple but fun.

Here is another lovely masterpiece made by Margie, one of my postal customers.  This quilt was part of a Modern Mystery quilt through the UK quilt shop Tikki London, based in Kew Gardens Village. The finished quilt is modern, bright & colourful with lots of low volume prints.  To keep the modern theme we had to go for the ever popular 'Modern Curves' digital pantograph.

This quilt was quilted before Christmas and was gifted as a present - what an amazing gift to open on Christmas morning!  When a customer quilt comes in I usually don't know what is coming, modern or traditional, but it is always great to see another quilt finished!

Here is another quilt that was gifted over Christmas, which was given the magic Fabadashery touch to finish off the quilting. Carys made this quilt out of a mix of neutral fabrics.  It was 85" x 98", so a very large double quilt, but probably just what is needed now the temperatures are starting to drop.

To go with the neutral quilt fabric, Carys chose a 'neutral' quilting pattern, this time a simple pantograph called 'Mach 3' by Apricot Moon.  This photo of the back of the quilt shows off the even zig zag pattern.  This the first time I have stitched out this pattern, so it was great to see what an even pattern it has across a quilt.  Below you can see the quilt in all its glory. Well done, Carys.
