Valerie's Sew A Row baby Quilt

I have quilted many baby quilts for Valerie in the past, but I think this one was extra special because she was expecting her first grandchild.  I don't think this baby will ever be short of a quilt or two (or three!).  It was a sew a row quilt and had some clever puzzle pieces as a row and applique for the animals and boats.  Valerie had found a lovely soft fleece for the backing and the digital quilting pattern which I used to longarm quilt it with is called 'Bubble Bath' designed by Naomi Hynes.  The pattern really looks great on the fleece.

The hexagon quilt seems to be a perennial favourite and they still keep coming through my door for longarm quilting.  I never tire of them because they are usually the quilts with the most variety of fabrics and they usually have a little history to tell.

This hexagon quilt was made by Sandra and she has mounted each flower on a different plain coloured fabric and the quilting patterns is 'Ginger Hearts' by Apricot Moon.
