Antique Angel BOM Quilt made by Krina

I just had to share this quilt with you today. This quilt was a Block of the Month (BOM) offered by the Antique Angel Quilt shop several years ago.  It was made with Japanese cotton fabrics which have a deeper texture than normal quilting cotton.  Oh my, when it was quilted the texture came up beautifully and it was mesmerising to watch it stitch out.

My initial thoughts when presented with an appliqued quilt is to custom quilt it it, but on this occasion the right thread and the right pattern did the trick.  The pattern is 'Bird's Eye View' designed by Barbara Becker, the thread was Glide Husky.  The result was stunning.
