The quilts from Bonnie Hunters' 2021 Rhododendron Trail Mystery are starting to filter through for longarm quilting at Fabadashery.  This one was done by Di and she has kept each colour in the same fabric.

I have noticed that everyone has made their own twist on this one. Di made hers smaller than the original and has adapted the blocks slightly. The quilting pattern on the quilt is Ginger Flight, designed by apricot Moon featuring butterflies.

Yesterday, I had a wonderful day at the Quilts UK Malvern Quilt Show organised by Grosvenor Shows.  I spent most of the day chatting to friends and customers who I know, but couldn't wait to see the competition quilts on display in the marquee at the back of the Hall. Amongst the competition quilts were some quilts I had help to finish for my customers, some of which had been waiting since 2020 to be displayed.  Firstly, this gorgeous red, white and blue medallion quilt made by Alyson, which won a  Judges Merit rosette, you can see more details in an earlier blog post.  Below you can see the other quilts by Eirwen, Christine Porter and Carol Allen.

Here is a little custom quilted wall hanging made by Valerie. It is a Monkey Buttons pattern featuring harebells, toadstools and leaping hares.  The multi-coloured strips were an opportunity to use a variety of custom quilt patterns and fills, to add texture.

You know I love to share a photo of a quilt on the frame, with the sun shining across the quilt, showcasing the amazing work my APQS quilting machine does for me.  Here is today's offering, Sheila's Batik Stars Quilt.  Sheila has dipped into her batik stash of this one, using the colours from the border for the stars and a subtle range of neutral batiks for the background.

The quilting pattern is 'Easy Peasy' designed by Hermione Agee.  It is quite a small pattern, interlocking, which gives a soft allover texture.

Here is a beautiful blue and white quilt made by Eirwen. The feature fabric included lots of flowers and we took that for inspiration for the quilting pattern and used a very pale neutral thread - Glide Warm Grey 4 (I use a lot of it ...)

The quilting pattern is called 'Moxie' and is designed by Leisha Farmsworth and Patricia Ritter.  One of my favourites and one I like to use on my own quilts.
