Welcome to Day 11 of the Fabadashery Twelve days of Christmas.  Today I am sharing Sue's beautiful embroidery perse quilt, which also features applique, English paper piecing and some fussy cutting.  This quilt was a top contender for some custom quilting treatment.  These always require a lot more thought to make sure the piecing and quilting are balanced and in harmony.  A longarm quilter always loves a bit of white space and this quilt allowed space for some traditional feathers and some cross-hatching - the perfect combination.

I always love the moment I take it off the frame as you get to see the whole quilt for the first time.  The 100% Hobbs Wool wadding really made the difference.
