| Sheila's Hierloom Sampler Quilt |
Do you have a special quilt in your cupboard which you made many moons ago, but never quite had the time or confidence to finish and quilt. Sheila hand stitched this sampler quilt a long time ago (1980's?) for a family member, but at the start of 2020 it was still waiting to be finished. Sheila decided that it might be something I could do. I was pleased to help and in this particular quilt used a combination of hand, custom quilting and computerised quilting. Sheila had already designed the heart wreath for the alternating blocks and I was able to reproduce this as a digital pattern in my HQ Prostitcher Software, as a whole, half and quarter block.

For the remaining quilt I stitched in the ditch, added some freehand stipple to the backgrounds of the different sampler blocks and freehand feathers for the applique border.
