Butterfly Quilt made by Pauline
|
Pauline made this lovely butterfly quilt for her grand daughter using Jason Yenter fabrics and a pattern from the book 'Garden Fresh Quilts'. Pauline wanted the butterflies to stand out and not to be quilted over, so opted for a custom quilting option.![](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg0_vCsqByP-Azt_2bUc_ADKMMQ9ladm1b2BzWtbq2KKVEcE-_wsCyJncUwxStz-uOtOWxiNEzSkBf26M7vmEwf1BpDbMhEQyHiKfivGDCrrXzPKqSF2K_j0dXo9hMcnD65OLjRQapXwZRU/w400-h300/Butterfly-quilt-custom-quil.jpg) |
Butterfly Quilt - custom quilting, reverse of quilt

I took this photograph of the back of the quilt, where you can perhaps see the detail of the custom quilting in more detail. Pauline chose a Hobbs Polydown wadding with a good loft, which meant that the butterflies had a trapunto quilting look to them.
