Butterfly Quilt made by Pauline

Pauline made this lovely butterfly quilt for her grand daughter using Jason Yenter fabrics and a pattern from the book 'Garden Fresh Quilts'. Pauline wanted the butterflies to stand out and not to be quilted over, so opted for a custom quilting option. |

I took this photograph of the back of the quilt, where you can perhaps see the detail of the custom quilting in more detail. Pauline chose a Hobbs Polydown wadding with a good loft, which meant that the butterflies had a trapunto quilting look to them.
