Twisting Triads Quilt by Sue

I have recently had the pleasure of quilting this 'Twisting Triads' quilt top made by Sue at a Jan Hassard workshop held at Busy Bees Patchwork in Newport.  Having completed a Jan Hassard quilt myself, I can appreciate the mental concentration required to get all the right fabrics in the right place, but it looks like a great pattern to use up fabric scraps for great visual effect.

Sue had chosen bright cheerful fabrics in her quilt and finished it off with a series of borders.

For the quilting, Sue chose an all over digital design, 'Dragon Wings' which features dragonflies, which added to the summery feel of the quilt.  This pattern always adds a fun element to a quilt and the pattern came up beautifully on the back.

Thanks Sue, for letting me quilt such a cheerful quilt.

Happy Stitching
